GUNS

If you have several guns and are wondering which one will do the job the best on these hunts, here are the conditions. Most of the shooting is close range. Big honkers are often 20 yard shots. Snow Geese are usually further, from 25 to 40 yards. Ducks are also very close range. Remember to get your Permits well in advance to bring Firearms into Canada. [_]
Locking Gun Case Airlines require that you have a  locking gun case,  or if you have a soft case, you must have a trigger lock. [_]
Shells Canada now uses steel shot for Game birds, so be sure to bring shells that will do the job on big birds and ducks as well. BB's or better for geese is a good idea. Shells are readily available for purchase at camp. [_]
Calls Unlike other guide services, we encourage hunters to join in on the calling fun. So bring those calls along! [_]
Warm Clothes, Hat & Gloves One suggestion we have is to  bring along a face mask as they are the best way to hide your face. (and keep it warm) Bring some warm clothes! [_]
Footwear Cold feet can make a hunt miserable so bring  those good  boots and a good pair of waders along! [_]
Cooler for Game If you are planning on bringing home the bounty, a good cooler will save you shipping charges. As large as the airlines will allow is a good idea unless you plan to breast your birds. [_]
Proof of Citizenship When you enter Canada and exit to the US  customs will require proof of citizenship  birth certificate or passport [_]
Camera and film Don't forget these! The new disposables are great, they  have delivered some great pictures for us. [_]
Retrievers Bringing your  best friend along is fine with us, just be sure you have a certificate of health from your  Vet when you get ready to cross the border. [_]
